Key Lime Pie, a local, genre-blending band known for its energetic performances and wide-ranging setlist, has recently announced it will begin auditions for a new lead vocalist.
Lead guitarist Max Townson said the band performs music spanning several decades and genres to appeal to a wide audience. “We mostly lean toward ’90s songs, but we play music from different eras so there’s something for everyone,” Townson said.
The group hopes to find a versatile vocalist who is comfortable performing a variety of styles. Just as important, Townson said, is finding someone who fits the band’s personality and dynamic.
“We’re looking for someone engaging and fun who works well with us,” Townson said. “We’re all good friends, so we want someone we can hang out with and just vibe with.”
Those interested in auditioning can contact the band through Instagram at @keylimepietheband, where three songs will be posted for potential singers to learn and submit as part of the audition process.
Key Lime Pie will perform its next show on May 22 at Ethos Brewing, marking Key Lime’s current vocalist, Devon Campbell’s, final performance with the band. Townson said the show will give fans and potential vocalists a chance to see the band’s style firsthand.
