
BREMEN, Ala. – Cold Springs High School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter had an outstanding showing at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference held in Montgomery March 5–6, 2026. The group brought home six gold medals and two silver medals, showcasing the dedication, talent and hard work of the students.
Leading the way were Aiden Freeman and Baylee Perdue, who earned first place in Chapter Project Portfolio, Level 3. Baylee Dye and Mimzy Mavers also captured first place in Chapter Project Display, Level 3, while Izzy Howell placed first in Chapter Project Display, Level 2.
These first-place winners have qualified to advance to the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, where they will compete against top students from across the country.
Additional top finishers included Maddie Davis, who placed third in Fashion Construction, Level 3; Ruthy Boggan, who earned fourth place in Fashion Design, Level 3; and Baylee McKendree, who placed fifth in Entrepreneurship, Level 3.
In addition to individual accomplishments, the Cold Springs FCCLA chapter received two prestigious honors: the Golden Chapter Award and the Families First Award, recognizing the chapter’s strong leadership, service and commitment to family and community involvement.
Cold Springs FCCLA members continue to demonstrate excellence through leadership, service projects and career-focused competitions, preparing students for future success. The chapter is proud of its students and looks forward to cheering on the national qualifiers as they represent Cold Springs at the national level this summer.
