Vinemont council announces Community Easter Egg Hunt, approves parking improvements

    VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont Town Council held its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 3, addressing several items related to town operations and upcoming community events. 

    Among the items approved during the meeting was the purchase of 15 parking bumpers for the additional parking lot at the Vinemont Community Center. The cost of the bumpers is $675. The council said they will help improve parking organization and accessibility at the facility. 

    The council also approved Resolution No. 2026-03-01, designating the town’s representatives for the upcoming Alabama League of Municipalities Annual Convention, which will take place in April in Montgomery. Mayor Bonnie Goodwin was appointed as the town’s voting delegate, with Councilwoman Kelley Little, Place No. 1, serving as the alternate delegate. Both will attend the convention on behalf of the Town of Vinemont. 

    The meeting concluded with announcements regarding upcoming community events. Senior Citizens Day will be held Monday, March 16, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Vinemont Community Center. The town will also host its Community Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 29, from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Vinemont Community Center and Walking Trail. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided during the event. 

    The next meeting of the Vinemont Town Council will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at Vinemont Town Hall. The work session will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the council meeting at 6. Vinemont Town Hall is located at 36 Patton Dr.
