CULLMAN, Ala. – Former Cullman County Sheriff’s Office employee Elijah David Page, 21, of Cullman, was arrested in Fyffe, Alabama, by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the CCSO. He is charged with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.

According to court records, between Dec. 1, 2025, and Jan. 30, 2026, Page allegedly sent videos showing his (sexual organ) to a 14-year-old female victim, received videos of the victim nude, communicated sexually explicit messages to the victim and agreed to meet the victim in Fort Payne on or about Jan. 3, 2026, for the purpose of sexual conduct.

Court records further allege that Page actually traveled from Cullman County to Fort Payne to meet the victim and engage in sexual conduct.

Both charges are felonies. The DCSO website says Page was booked Feb. 24, 2026, and is being held without bond.

ABC 33/40 reported: “Page was taken into custody in DeKalb County by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) with assistance from CCSO. Page worked as a non-APOST detention deputy and was terminated while still on his probationary period.

“CCSO says they will continue providing support to DCSO Sheriff Nick Weldon and his investigators as needed as they move forward with the case.”

The Tribune is awaiting an official statement from the CCSO, but the department told ABC 33/40: “”The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards of conduct and will continue to act in the best interest of the citizens we serve.”
