CULLMAN, Ala. – During Monday’s Cullman City Council meeting, Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Executive Director Nathan Anderson presented checks totaling over $60,000 to 14 local organizations.

Those receiving checks from the proceeds of the 2025 Cullman Christkindlmarkt included:

  • Cullman Area Technology Academy
  • Children’s of Alabama
  • Brooks’ Place
  • Curt’s Closet
  • Northbrook Caring Center
  • United Way of Cullman County
  • 130 Network
  • Pilot Light House
  • Cullman Elks Lodge
  • Cullman Caring for Kids
  • The Link of Cullman County
  • The Willow Path
  • Hope Horses
  • Cullman County Public Library

Anderson said that, at a presentation last year, “Katie Brown brought up a question that really hadn’t been considered to date, and that is, with the Christkindlmarkt platform, is there anything we can do for charities in the area. There’s a lot of great causes in the community, and this platform and all these people will be a great place to recognize and to fundraise.”

The result was the raising of $60,923 by event vendors, dedicated volunteers and other fundraisers who gave 20% of their funds raised to the charity project. Participants gave at least three days of service at the event.
