Graveside service for James Timothy Scott, age 60 of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Cullman City Cemetery with Rev. John Richter officiating; burial at Cullman City Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Scott passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Cullman Regional. He was born, July 17, 1965, to Johnny Lloyd “Tooter” Scott and Carolyn Scott.

Tim proudly served as a member of the Cullman Lions Club for 38 years and was honored to serve on the Cullman County Fair Board for more than 25 years. Tim’s heart was happiest in the chicken houses. He had a deep love for the land and a passion for helping farmers through his work with RC&D and the Cullman County Soil and Water Conservation District. His legacy will forever be remembered at Duck River Reservoir, where his dedication, hard work, and friendships left a lasting mark. His dedication to Cullman County was sincere. Tim instilled the values of integrity and hard work in everyone he met. He believed in work, hard work — the kind that ensured Zane could run the farm and Arleigh and Kadie could tend their gardens. Though he wore many hats throughout his life, his favorite was being an ‘Auburn Dad’. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on at Scott Farms and in the countless lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, James “Shorty” Scott; grandparents, James and Francis Heinl Scott and Clyde and Kathryn Coker; father-in-law, Tommy Moses.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jessica Scott; children, Arleigh Grace, Zane, and Kadie Scott; brother, Todd (Rhonda) Scott; nephew, Adam (Kelsey) Scott; niece, Ashley Scott; great nephew, John Paul Scott; and mother-in-law, Jane Moses.

Pallbearers will be: Zane Scott, Adam and John Paul Scott, Doug Doggett, Steve Murphree, Steve Newton, Cody Butler, Bennett Boyd and Al Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Cullman Loins Club.
