Funeral Service for Wesley Gene (Wes) Yeager, age 46 of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. He will lie in state from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Shane Hicks will be officiating. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Yeager passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born July 6, 1979, to Walter Eugene Yeager and Shearld Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Eugene Yeager; grandparents, Harold & Vercie Yeager & Norman & Aileen Smith; stepbrothers, Eli Thomas & Nathan Thomas; uncles, Jimmy Yeager & Jerry Yeager. Harold Smith, Darrell Smith & Gearld Smith.
Survivors include his mother, Shearld Thomas (Jeff); brothers, Christopher Yeager & Michael Yeager; girlfriend, Marie Norris; stepmother, Jill Green; stepbrother, Rocky Wren; stepsister, Mahalla Wren and a host of aunts & uncles, extended family and friends.
Wesley Yeager was very loved in his community. He was the one to make anyone laugh at any moment. His heart was made of gold and he lived to help people any chance he could. The way Wesley enjoyed helping those around him is something that truly touched everyone in his path. Wesley loved and trusted in the Lord. His family was the most valuable thing to him on earth. He cherished every moment with his family and extended families and friends. Wesley was always the first to arrive and the last to leave any family function. His hard work and dedication to serving those around him will live on forever.
Wesley’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the kindness he showed, and the countless lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing his legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue through all who knew him.
