HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association said spots are still available for its 2026 Southern Coastal Charm Tour, a five-day group travel experience to Beaufort and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, scheduled for March 16–20, 2026.
The tour is open to the public and is not limited to Wallace State alumni or former students. Organizers said all planning and logistics are handled in advance, allowing travelers to focus on enjoying the experience.
Participants will explore South Carolina’s Lowcountry, including Beaufort, a coastal city known for its historic streets, antebellum homes and moss-draped live oaks.
The tour includes four nights of lodging in Beaufort, nine meals, motorcoach transportation, guided tours and listed activities, luggage handling, a tour director, and taxes and most gratuities.
Planned activities include a horse-drawn carriage tour of Beaufort highlighting historic landmarks and movie locations, a visit to the Parris Island Museum with lunch served on base, a tour of the Kazoobie Kazoo Factory, and a guided visit to the Penn Center featuring Gullah heritage.
The itinerary also includes a dolphin and wildlife spotting boat cruise, a visit to the Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Island, authentic local dining experiences, and time set aside for shopping, exploration and rest.
The trip departs Wallace State on Monday, March 16, and concludes Friday, March 20, with return to campus expected around 6 p.m.
Organizers said the tour is designed to balance guided excursions with opportunities for relaxation while showcasing the region’s history, culture and coastal scenery.

Pricing for Alumni Association members is set at $1,299 per person for single occupancy, $999 per person for double occupancy and $899 per person for triple occupancy.
Non-members may participate for an additional $100 per person, with annual Alumni Association membership available for $30. Registration closes Feb. 16, 2026.
