TRACK & FIELD: Cold Springs wins runner-up 1A-3A girls title, five local schools compete at State Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The ASHAA Indoor Track and Field championships concluded Saturday, and five Cullman-area teams participated in the event. To split classifications, 1A through 3A competed together on Friday, with 6A competing separately. On Saturday, 4A and 5A competed together, while 7A competitions stood alone. Of the five local teams competing, Cold Springs’ girls stole the show. The Eagles raked in nine medals on the way to being recognized as the 1A-3A Girls Runner-Up State Champions. The Eagles, Holly Pond and Fairview all had state champions crowned in a thrilling weekend at the Birmingham CrossPlex. Full results can be found below.
