Billie Jane Harris, age 74 of Roanoke, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born July 23, 1951, to William Manning Burdett and Verna Lee Hill. A memorial service to honor Jane will be held at a later date, to be announced.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Martha Lee Burdett & Melberlene Burdett Webb; grandson, Blake Lee Baker.
Survivors include her husband, James Edward Harris; sons, Michael Harris (Christy) of Cullman, Alabama, and Gregory Harris (Chrissy) of Claremont, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brenton Harris of Mooresville, North Carolina, Hunter Harris of Claremont, North Carolina, Dalton Harris (Ayla Hamilton) of Hickory, North Carolina, Camryn Harris Kerns (Alex) of Sherrilsford, North Carolina, Austin Duncan of Cullman, Alabama, Kayla Baker of Bremen, Alabama; great grandchildren, Colt Harris, Sullivan Harris, Khloe Baker; brother, William Oscar Burdett; sisters, Evelyn Harmon (Harold) & Verna Joan Henderson.
She was beautiful inside and out. She loved her birds, flowers and baking. She was loved by everyone. Her faith in God was unfailing, and her prayers never ceased. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.
