Funeral services for Cody Southeard of Cullman, Alabama will be Thursday, January 22nd at 12 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Reverend Mark Long will officiate.
Cody was born August 31, 1985, in Huntsville, Alabama to Richard and Vicki Southeard. Cody loved spending time with his two children, Remi and Boone. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He worked as a supervisor at Royal Technologies. He graduated from Cullman High School in 2003 and was part of the baseball team for years. He was a good son, brother, father, and man to all those that knew him. He could always be counted on when you needed a friend. He passed away peacefully at the age of 40.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Vicki Southeard; children, Remi & Boone; brother and sisters, Zach (Laura), Anna, and Abby; sister-in-law, Ashley; nephews, Jalyn & Carter; grandparents, Wydene Southeard, and John & Kathy Atkins; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Southeard Sr. and Louise Temples; and also big brother, Richard McClintock.
