Roger Park Bolton, died peacefully at his home on January 3, 2026, in Cullman, Alabama. He was born February 14, 1934, in Monroe, Georgia.
Mr. Bolton moved to Atlanta as a young boy. He excelled in school and sports, later playing on Georgia Tech’s basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and then obtained his Masters from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
In 1958 he met the love of his life, Jane Matthews. They married in 1962. On January 27th they would’ve celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
During his life Mr. Bolton worked as a pastor, author, counselor, college recruiter and health care executive.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Bolton; three children, Julie Bolton (Terry) Spradlin, David (Andi) Bolton, Karen Bolton (Mike) Slane; grandchildren, Cameron (Roxane) Slane, Connor (Rebecca) Slane, Jackson Spradlin, Hannah Spradlin, Blake Spradlin, Olivia Bolton, and Ashlee Bolton; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and family and friends.
