CULLMAN, Ala. – A Vinemont man will be held without bond in two cases in which he is charged with first-degree sodomy against minor children. The Cullman County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that Jesse Lee Conn, 33, was ordered held without bond by Circuit Court Judge Emily Niezer Johnston in an Aniah’s Law hearing held Dec. 30.
The DA’s office said District Attorney Champ Crocker and Assistant District Attorney Nathan Brock represented the State at the hearing.
The Tribune has chosen not to share details of this case, due to the graphic nature of the offenses and the involvement of minor children.
“This case is the result of tireless work by Cullman Sheriff investigators, who left no stone unturned. The Grand Jury issued an indictment earlier this month, the Defendant was taken into custody and we opposed bond. Children are our greatest gift, and they deserve to be protected, not exploited or abused,” the DA’s office said.
Conn’s trial is scheduled for March 2026.
