
HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Spanish classes will be offered this winter at the Shirley Burden Public Library in Hanceville. The classes will be held on Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-noon, with sessions scheduled for Jan. 6, Jan. 20, Feb. 3 and Feb. 17.
Alejandra Pena, who has more than 16 years of experience teaching Spanish and working with learners across multiple age groups, will lead the sessions.
Library officials said the program is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible learning opportunities in a welcoming, small-town environment that encourages community engagement and lifelong learning.
The classes are open to the public. Registration is required and can be completed by calling the library at 256-352-0685.
The Shirley Burden Public Library is located at 201 Commercial St. NW in Hanceville.
