CULLMAN, Ala. – Sherwood is a Siberian Husky mix who is about 5 years old, with a steady medium energy that makes him a comforting presence from the moment he walks beside you. He’s The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.
He has become a wonderful friend, always attentive, always tuned in to the people around him.
His soulful “Aroo!” is unforgettable, and if you talk back he’ll often answer again, which sparks a back-and-forth conversation that feels like a secret language.
Sherwood loves to be groomed and has a remarkable sense of spatial awareness.
He adjusts himself gently around you and carries the calm confidence of a dog who understands people. He also has excellent taste, especially when it comes to high-end cheddar cheese.
With his affectionate nature, Sherwood is the quintessential therapy, companion, reading or hiking dog. He is a precious fellow who has truly stolen hearts at the shelter.
Sherwood’s adoption fee is $130, which covers his neuter procedure, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping and basic preventive care provided by the shelter.
Visit the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. If Sherwood has already been adopted, the shelter has many other wonderful friends waiting for their forever families, too.
