Waterloo woman killed in Hwy. 157 crash; baby transported to hospital

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. – A Waterloo woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, on Alabama Highway 157, near the Cullman County line.  

Alabama State Troopers on Monday morning identified the victim as Kayleigh V. Page, 29.

Troopers said Page was fatally injured when the 2021 Tesla Model Y Long Range she was driving left the roadway, struck two trees and caught fire. Page was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 7-month-old passenger was also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 157 near the 17 mile marker, approximately 1 mile north of Battleground, in Morgan County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
