MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. – A Waterloo woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, on Alabama Highway 157, near the Cullman County line. Â
Alabama State Troopers on Monday morning identified the victim as Kayleigh V. Page, 29.
Troopers said Page was fatally injured when the 2021 Tesla Model Y Long Range she was driving left the roadway, struck two trees and caught fire. Page was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 7-month-old passenger was also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 157 near the 17 mile marker, approximately 1 mile north of Battleground, in Morgan County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
