Obituary: William Carl Langlois

William Carl Langlois, age 84 of Cullman, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on March 12, 1941, to Peter Langlois, Sr. and Ruth Petersen Langlois. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Peter Langlois, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Pippin; son, Kevin (Paula) Langlois; grandchildren, Joshua (Sarah) Langlois, Marissa Hebert (Jake); sister Judy (Gary) Anderson); sister-in-law Marsha and a host of nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Ishpeming High School, William joined the United States Navy. He served our nation honorably for 30 years including three separate tours of duty in Vietnam, achieving many sea stories, medals and retiring at the rank of E-9, Master Chief Hospital Corpsman.

After the Navy, Bill occupied himself in a variety of jobs-7years as an environmentalist for the state of South Carolina; in Alabama he was an optometry assistant, volunteered at the elementary school to help children learn to read, served the communities of northern Alabama as a Freemason in several organizations, built fences, maintained a golf course and was a devoted church member.

Bill deeply loved his family; he will be most remembered for his deep voice, smiles, stories, and bear hugs.

Celebration of Life will be December 13, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Fairview Methodist Church, Fairview, AL. Instead of flowers, the family requests that you please donate to St Judes Children Hospital, Fairview Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
