FAIRVIEW, Ala. – Alabama Mountains Rivers Valleys (AMRV) Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council gathered with local leaders, state officials and community members recently to celebrate the grand opening of the new Jack’s Family Restaurant in Fairview with a ribbon cutting.

The new restaurant was made possible, in part, by a $30,000 grant provided by AMRV RC&D, which was instrumental in expanding the sewer system capacity — a foundational step that enabled the development of the new restaurant.

Speaking on behalf of Jack’s, Karmen Baker expressed deep appreciation for the Fairview community’s warm welcome and ongoing support.

“We love to be a part of the community and help in any way we can — from sponsoring schools to lending a helping hand,” Baker said. “Our team is excited to welcome everyone in like family and serve with open hearts.”

Fairview Mayor Clint Haynes shared, “Bringing Jack’s to Fairview took a true team effort. We are grateful for every partner who came alongside us, and we are proud to welcome Jack’s as the newest part of Fairview’s bright future.”

“Strategic infrastructure investment is how we grow our communities, and the $30,000 RC&D grant played a vital role in making this project possible,” said Sen. Garlan Gudger, R-Cullman. “I’m grateful for everyone who worked together to support Fairview and help bring new jobs and opportunity to this area.”

Rep. Heath Allbright, R-Holly Pond, expressed his excitement for the future of Fairview.

“This project is a win for Fairview, and the RC&D grant played a key role in getting us here,” he said. “I’m grateful for the teamwork that made today possible, and I’m excited to see the positive impact Jack’s will have on the local economy.”

AMRV Executive Director Renona Seibert said AMRV was proud to work on this project.

“Our mission at AMRV RC&D is to invest in projects that strengthen local communities, and we were proud to provide the $30,000 grant that helped make this infrastructure upgrade possible,” she said. “Seeing Fairview welcome a new business like Jack’s shows exactly how these resources can create a long-lasting impact.”
