Funeral Service for Yvonne Anderson Sterling, will be at 12 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Stringer officiating; burial at Bethlehem West. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Yvonne Anderson Sterling of Cullman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, an accomplished student, devoted Christian, award-winning teacher, and successful Cullman businesswoman, died Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 90.
Yvonne, a child of the depression, was frugal (yet charitable), loving, friendly, happy, stubborn, habitual, and caring. She systematically donated to her alma maters, Montevallo University and University of Alabama. She gave of her time and resources to her church and community. She attended church three times every week, most notably teaching Sunday School and Bible School. Yvonne never met a stranger and loved a good conversation. She took joy in working in her yard and garden, generously sharing her plants and vegetables with others. Yvonne was a good soul and a delightful, much-loved person!
Yvonne is survived by her brother Wannie Anderson of Hazel Green, sister-in-law Joan Anderson of Homewood, grandson Josh Sterling (Tammie) of Cullman, granddaughter McKenzie Edge of Cullman, and five great-grandchildren LeAnn Wildman, Emma Lane Sterling, Skylan Edge, Mali Dye, and Jettson-Lee Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Sterling, son Jimmie Sterling, three brothers and a sister.
