HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State Community College Culinary Pride is inviting the community to make their holiday meals both easy and meaningful through its Thanksgiving fundraiser, which supports student activities while offering a chance to give back to others.

The fundraiser menu features holiday favorites prepared by culinary students, including a 12-pound roasted turkey for $30, Boar’s Head ham for $35, giblet gravy for $8 per pint, a dozen house-made Hawaiian rolls for $12 and a spiced banana pudding bundt cake for $18.

Orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m., with pick-up times set for Nov. 24, from noon-3 p.m. and Nov. 25, from 9 a.m.-noon. All orders must be prepaid by 3 p.m. Nov. 18.

Wallace State Cares Director Christine Wiggins said the annual fundraiser is a key support for the program, giving students real-world experience while funding activities throughout the year.

“This event allows our students to showcase their culinary skills while helping fund projects that enhance their education,” said Wiggins.

In addition to supporting Culinary Pride, this year’s fundraiser offers a unique opportunity for double impact. Community members can purchase meals to donate to Wallace State students through Lions’ Kitchen, the campus food pantry that provides support to students facing food insecurity.

“Looking to double-dip and multiply the benefit? You can order a meal to support our club and then donate it to Lions’ Kitchen to help a student in need,” Wiggins said.

Those interested in participating or donating a meal can contact Wiggins at 256-352-8462 or place orders online at www.wsculinarypride.super.site.
