PREP FOOTBALL: Meek handles Vina at home 52-8

ARLEY, Ala. – Meek was back home at Tiger Stadium to host a region game with Vina Friday night, and the Tigers were in control of this one from start to finish. Meek built a 44-0 lead in the first half and with the clock running in the second half, the Tigers cruised to a 52-8 win over the Red Devils.

An 80-yard touchdown run by Hunter Wyatt gave Meek an early, 6-0 lead and a 60-yard touchdown run from Aiden Benson extended the lead to 12-0. After the Tigers pulled ahead 20-0 early in the second quarter, an 18-yard touchdown pass from Evan McCay to Jaxon Brown made it a 28-0 game. A 46-yard touchdown run by Wyatt extended the Tiger lead to 36-0 later in the second and a 37-yard touchdown pass from McCay to Brown gave Meek a 44-0 advantage at halftime.

With the hot clock running in the second half, the Tigers went on to win it 52-8.

Meek (6-3) will wrap up the regular season at Carbon Hill next week.
