Bobbie Elaine Gill passed away peacefully at the age of 83 surrounded by her family and closest friends at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born on July 19, 1942, to Arnold Joiner and Gracie Baines. She is preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband James Wayne Gill and her sister Patricia Ann Jones.
She leaves behind her daughter Phyllis Foust; son’s Dewayne Gill (Sandy) and Phillip Gill. Her grandchildren Olivia Vining (David), Matthew Foust, Carson Gill and Autumn Hill. Her precious great grandchildren Ben and Nick Vining and Dawson Rutherford. Her sister Pam Greathouse (Wayne); brother, Terry Joiner (Kim); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Throughout life, she loved working in her yard, painting and decorating her home and reading a good book. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A woman with a keen sense of humor, a quick wit, and a one-of-a-kind vibe, Elaine had a unique ability to tell you what she thought. She lived life with authenticity, always staying true to herself and her principles. Her distinctive style and unapologetic approach to life made her truly unforgettable. She will be missed.
We would like to give our sincere thanks to the employees of Garden Way Hall at Hanceville Nursing Home. We could never thank you enough for all you have done for our mother.
Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gill family.
