CULLMAN, Ala. – Goat Island Brewing will host a Veterans Day celebration on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, honoring local service members and their families through Operation: Beer for Warriors. The event will begin at noon, with doors opening at 11 a.m., and will feature live music performances by the Natchez Trace Band and Jesse Priest Music. Veterans and one guest will receive a free meal, with food provided by Smokin’ Joe’s BBQ LLC and Freddie Day Catering.
Local veteran and retired Air Force Col. Ken Brown, who is helping organize the event, said the celebration holds special meaning for Cullman’s veteran community.
“We have over 7,000 military veterans and their families living in Cullman County,” Brown said. “Many of these vets have been deployed on multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. That and their families have been through a lot. They like to think that our folks at home recognize and appreciate what they have done. So, when businesses and individuals come together to fund and organize an event like Goat Island is doing, it means a lot.”
