CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce will host its third annual Cookie Crawl on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sponsored by Long Lewis Ford, the free community event invites participants to visit local Chamber Member businesses, collect cookies and shop locally ahead of the holiday season.

Participants can pick up their Cookie Crawl boxes and list of locations on Friday, Nov. 7, from 4-6 p.m. at the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce.

“This year, participants will pick up their boxes and list of cookie locations on Friday evening,” explained Katie Walker, director of events & communications for the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce. “They can then hit the streets on Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m. to start collecting their treats.”

With the holidays quickly approaching, Walker emphasized the importance of events like the Cookie Crawl for Cullman businesses. “The Cookie Crawl is a fun, family-friendly event that allows our Chamber Members to get their businesses in front of people who might not typically visit them,” she added. “It’s a great way to connect the community and encourage people to shop local during the holiday season.”

The Cookie Crawl is part of the Chamber’s broader Christmas Open House weekend, which runs Nov. 7–9, and features several holiday events. Among them is this year’s Polar Express Ticket to Win It, taking place Sunday, Nov. 9, from noon-4 p.m. Shoppers can earn a “train ticket” with each purchase from participating businesses and enter to win a $250 cash prize after collecting three tickets from three different stores. Additionally, the 3Sixty Jeep Club will have its Polar Express-themed train on display at the Cullman Public Library for those looking to enjoy a little more Christmas magic.

Families can also enjoy free photos with Santa throughout the weekend, thanks to the event’s Santa Sponsor, Dental Arts.

“Christmas Open House is a great weekend for our community,” Walker said. “Families can take part in festive activities, meet Santa and soak in the sounds and sights of the holidays while supporting the small businesses that make Cullman what it is.”
