HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Holly Pond was on a bye last week, but they were back on the field for a region game at Whitesburg Christian Friday night. The Broncos scored first to take the early lead in this one, but the Warriors responded with 28 unanswered points to hand Holly Pond a 28-6 road loss.

After a scoreless first quarter, Holly Pond jumped out to an early lead in the second when Broncos quarterback Boston Gibbs ran one into the end zone from 14 yards out to make it a 6-0 game. However, Whitesburg Christian answered the score in less than two minutes of game time to pull ahead 7-6 midway through the second quarter. The Warriors found the end zone again in the final seconds of the half to extend their lead to 14-6 going into the locker room at the break.

The Warriors tacked on another touchdown midway through the third quarter to make it a 21-6 game and added one more score in the final three minutes of the game to cap a 28-6 win over the Broncos.

Holly Pond (3-3) will be back home next week for a region matchup against Asbury.
