Douglas Wayne Nix, age 74 of Hanceville, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Cullman Regional. He was born February 23, 1951, to Joseph Jackson Nix and Alma Louise Tilley Nix. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents and great grandson Kingston Burns
Survivors include his wife Patricia McCay Nix; daughters, Paige (Keith) Elliott, Kristen Nix and Amanda (Ben) Elledge; sons, Michael Nix and Chad Smith; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; special friends, Ralph and Hollie Gutierrez and a host of family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Cullman City Cemetery.
