The fourth annual Witches Ride will take place Sunday, Oct. 19, from 2-5 p.m. in Cullman’s Warehouse District. (Les Dames of Cullman)

CULLMAN, Ala. – Dust off your brooms and round up your crew — the Witches Ride is back for its fourth enchanting year! Hosted by the Les Dames of Cullman, this spirited, family-friendly event has become one of Cullman’s favorite fall traditions. On Sunday, Oct. 19, the Warehouse District will once again transform into a whimsical wonderland of cackles, costumes and community connection.

The festivities begin at 2 p.m., as witches and their teams begin staging and kids enjoy a magical carnival complete with face painting, games, food trucks and plenty of sweet treats. First Avenue comes alive with the Witches Ride Parade—a high-energy procession of moms, daughters, grandmothers and friends walking or pedaling through downtown in full witchy flair. Candy flies, kids cheer and the whole town celebrates together.

Team registration opens soon, and this year’s ride will feature fun new awards, including:

  • Best Team Theme
  • Most Creative Costume

All proceeds benefit Les Dames of Cullman’s mission to end period poverty for girls younger than 19 right here in our community.

Thanks to the incredible support of the community, Les Dames has already installed free organic feminine hygiene dispensers in every high school in Cullman County, and we are now working on our community’s middle schools. This year, the goal is to raise $65,000 to launch a digital education campaign — helping answer the big, awkward and often unspoken questions girls face about their bodies and their health.

So grab your pointy hats, rally your broommates and join us for a Sunday full of magic, memories and meaningful impact.
