CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the annual Burgermeister Ball on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Abbey Byre at St. Bernard. Sponsored by HomTex, this elegant evening will celebrate community, Cullman’s German heritage and the kickoff of Oktoberfest festivities.
The Burgermeister Ball is one of Cullman’s most cherished traditions, bringing together the community for a night of fellowship, fine dining, live music and fun. Dinner will be provided by All Steak and Oktoberfest brews provided by Ethos Craft Brewing, Goat Island Brewing and Hofbräuhaus. The highlight of the evening will be the official presentation of the 2025 Burgermeister, Mayor Woody Jacobs. Guests are encouraged to wear traditional German garb such as lederhosen and dirndls.
“This event is a true celebration of Cullman’s rich German roots and the people who make our community thrive,” said Joey Orr, Chamber president. “The Burgermeister Ball not only honors tradition, but also brings us together in the spirit of unity, culture and community pride.”
