FAIRVIEW, Ala. – The Fairview Aggies were back home for another region matchup against Ardmore Friday night, and they put together another dominant performance. Fairview built a 21-0 lead in the first half and continue pulling away in the second half on the way to a 42-14 win.

The Aggies and Tigers exchanged punts throughout the first quarter but Fairview got on the board early in the second when Kolt Redding carried a QB keeper into the end zone from 2 yards to make it a 7-0 game. On the next Aggies possession, Jake Harper broke a big run down the home sideline to set up Fairview’s offense inside the 5-yard line and two plays later, Harper plowed into the end zone from 2 yards out to extend the lead to 14-0 midway through the second quarter.

Harper’s second touchdown run of the night came in the final two minutes of the second quarter and gave the Aggies a 21-0 lead at the halftime break.

Fairview recovered an onside kick to start the third quarter, and the Aggies quickly took advantage of the extra possession. Just a few plays later, Rex Chandler burst through the line for 27 yards and a touchdown, putting Fairview in front 28-0 with 10 minutes to play in the third quarter. The Aggies added to their lead on their next possession when Harper took a handoff 47 yards down the sideline for his third score of the night, stretching the lead to 35-0.

Later in the fourth quarter, Easton Filch ran one into the end zone from 12 yards out to make it a 42-0 game. The Tigers tacked on one touchdown in the final frame, but it was too little, too late and Fairview remained unbeaten with a 42-7 win over Ardmore.

The Aggies (4-0) will be back home for another region game against Lawrence County next week.
