Funeral services for Dan Gene Anderson, 84, of Bremen will be 12 p.m. Saturday August 30th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Addington Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson was born August 25, 1941, in Cullman, Alabama to the late Elmer & Eunis Anderson. He passed away August 28,2025,5 at his residence in Bremen, Alabama.
Dan faithfully served the Lord in ministry for 52 years. He was known by many as “Dan the Praise the Lord Man,” a name that reflected his joyful spirit and faith. Over the years, he pastored Solid Rock Church in Bremen for 15 years and also shared the gospel throughout Cullman, Blount, and Walker counties, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Outside of the pulpit, Dan enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially mowing grass, which brought him peace and contentment. His life was a testament to his love for God, his family, and his community.
Dan will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched many hearts with his kindness, encouragement, and dedication to the Lord’s work.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Frances Anderson; children, Gene Anderson, Kathy Anderson Lackey (John), Karen Bullard; grandchildren, Joshua Lackey (Katie), Justin Lackey, Eric Anderson (Amanda), Anthony Anderson (Alexis), Matthew Anderson (Alicia), Derick Bullard, Ashley Bullard; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Eunis Anderson; 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.
