Funeral services for Mark Alan Reed, 64, of Hanceville will be 6 p.m. Monday August 25th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mr. Reed was born August 29, 1960, in Birmingham, Alabama. He passed away August 22, 2025, in Hanceville, Alabama.
Mark lived a full and hardworking life, known for his skills as a diesel mechanic and his love of the outdoors. He had a passion for drag racing and enjoyed spending time at the lake, where he found peace and joy. Camping trips, time spent on the tractor, and being outdoors brought him great happiness.
Mark will be remembered for his strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, and the love he shared with those closest to him. He cherished time with his family and friends, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jane Reed; his children, Josh Reed (Jennifer), Brandon Reed (Emily), Jennifer Dunn; grandchildren, Nathan Dunn, Coltin Reed, Brooklyn Reed-Castillo, Emma Grace Reed Castillo, Maverick Reed, Carter Reed, Kash Reed; sister, Brenda Waldon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his son, Jason Givens; father, Clifford Reed; mother, Pauline Crawford; and his siblings, Linda Blackmon, Denise Crawford, Diane Jennings, Frances Woods, Mike Reed, David Reed, and Frank Milton.
