HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom, with nine athletic programs earning NJCAA Academic Team of the Year honors for the 2024–25 academic year.
The prestigious recognition is awarded to teams across the country that achieve a combined grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher, and Wallace State once again showcased its strength as one of the premier programs in the nation.
Top Academic Performers
Leading the way for Wallace State was the volleyball team, which posted an impressive 3.74 team GPA, one of the highest marks in the nation. The women’s basketball team (3.52 GPA) and women’s tennis team (3.51 GPA) followed closely behind, setting a standard of academic success within the program.
