CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City Council on Monday presented a resolution of commendation to each member and coach of East Elementary School’s archery team for their achievements during the last school year in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).
The resolution reads as follows:
WHEREAS, the East Elementary Archery Team brought home 1st place at all nine regular season tournaments, claimed victory at regionals, earned the state title in Bullseye, took 1st place in 3D and 5th place in Bullseye at the NASP Eastern Nationals; and secured a 2nd place finish in 3D and a 3rd place finish in Bullseye at the NASP “World” Championship; and,
WHEREAS, we acknowledge that participation in archery teaches students self-control, focus, discipline, patience, and life lessons to help them be successful in school and in life; and,
WHEREAS, special commendation is due to archer (individual names inserted) for displaying skill, determination, enthusiasm, and hard work as a member of the East Elementary Archery Team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Cullman, on behalf of our citizens, do hereby offer this COMMENDATION to (individual names inserted) as an expression of our pride and of our appreciation for the fine way in which the City of Cullman and the East Elementary Archery Team were represented.
