Below is Glover’s campaign announcement.
I would like to announce that I am the official Democrat nominee for Alabama state house, District 12.
I was born in the old Cullman Medical Center and have never lived a day outside the Cullman County line. I spent most of my life in and around the Good Hope community and have called the Valley Grove area home for the past three years. My deep roots in Cullman County have shaped not only who I am, but also my commitment to serve its people.
I graduated from Good Hope High School in 2002 and went on to attend Wallace State Community College for two years. Those formative educational experiences instilled in me the value of hard work, community engagement, and the importance of accessible, high-quality education for every child in our state.
From 2012 to 2016, I was honored to serve a term on the Good Hope City Council. During that time, I worked closely with neighbors, business owners, and local leaders to ensure that our city remained not only up to date, but proactive in its approach to maintain a vibrant city to live and work in. Helping to attract new job and retail opportunities. My tenure on the council reinforced my belief that government is strongest when it is closest to the people it serves.
I am committed to strengthening local communities by returning more power to local government from the state, so decisions are made by those who know our neighborhoods best. My key policy priorities include:
Expanding Medicaid to ensure all residents have access to the health care they need.
Improving the quality and efficiency of the State Department of Education, including meaningful increases in teacher pay.
Investing in infrastructure throughout the City of Cullman and District 12 to keep pace with our growing population and to enhance safety and mobility for residents and visitors alike.
My lifelong ties to Cullman County, combined with my experience in local government, drive my passion for public service. I will continue to work tirelessly to build stronger communities, support our educators and health care providers, and create the conditions for sustainable growth and prosperity in District 12.
