Perry Dial, a proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Army, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service, laughter, and a heart that quietly touched many lives. Though he may have come across as grumpy at times, those who knew him best understood it was all part of his charm—beneath the gruff exterior was a deeply caring soul, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Perry had a unique sense of humor and a wit that could light up a room. He was known for being particular—some would say OCD—with a strong belief that things should be done his way and no one else’s. But that same determination made him incredibly reliable, whether in matters big or small.
A man of strong faith, Perry dedicated over a decade to leading Sunday School devotions at the Hanceville Nursing Home, offering spiritual guidance and comfort to countless residents. His heart for service extended far beyond his local community, as he devoted time and energy to mission trips in Haiti and Honduras, demonstrating his commitment to helping those in need.
In his free time, Perry enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He found peace and joy in nature, always eager for the next adventure.
Perry Dial will be remembered for his dedication to others, his undeniable sense of humor, and the strength of character that made him truly one of a kind. His impact will be felt for years to come by the many lives he touched with his compassion, faith, and fearless honesty.
