CULLMAN, Ala. – Good Samaritan Health Clinic Executive Director Jolanda Hutson on June 2, 2025, announced that the clinic’s new facility project is officially out for general contractor bids.

In an email, Hutson shared, “It is with great excitement that I share a major milestone in our journey — Good Samaritan Health Clinic’s new facility project is officially out for general contractor bids!

“If you know of an outstanding contractor who would be a great fit for our project, please encourage them to contact me or our architect, Leonard Design. I’ve attached the Notice to Bid to this email, so feel free to share it with any interested parties. The Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for June 12 at the new property — things are moving quickly!”

Hutson also shared in the email that the clinic is within $125,000 of its $2.8 million project goal.

The new facility will be located along Veterans Drive Southwest. The project is being funded by donations and grants, as well as contributions from both the City of Cullman and Cullman County.

The new health care facility will accommodate an additional 3,600 uninsured individuals each year.

“The new facility will be a 5,040-square-foot building situated on 2.7 acres in the southwest part of the city of Cullman, at 118 Veterans Dr. SW. Thoughtfully designed to meet the evolving needs of our community, the building will include four exam rooms, a spacious waiting area that doubles as a meeting space for after-hours patient education classes, a medication dispensary with drive-thru access, a lab and a cardio room,” said part of Good Samaritan’s latest newsletter. “This will be a place where everyone feels welcome and cared for. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to ensure that all patients are met with compassion and served by some of the most experienced health professionals in the community.”
