Mr. Shannon passed away May 1, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 8, 1945 to John Auther and Minnie Lou Cook Shannon. Jerald loved tinkering, gardening and tending to his roses, but woodworking was his favorite pastime.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Shannon; brother Earnest Shannon.
Survivors include his daughter, Leslie Shannon; son, Dewayne Shannon; grandchildren, Steven (Cassie) Speegle, John (Kelly) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Grace Speegle, Stella Johnson, Nova Johnson; and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
