HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State Community College is hosting two informative events in Hanceville and Oneonta, offering prospective students the opportunity to meet with faculty and learn more about the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program.

“CDL training is one of our most in-demand workforce programs, and we receive a high volume of inquiries,” said Anna Beard, Skills for Success Coordinator at Wallace State. “With so many different training and funding options available, we want to ensure our community knows about the opportunities that can help them start a successful career in trucking.”

The Wallace State CDL program offers classes in both Hanceville, Oneonta and Winston County, with opportunities for veterans, low-income residents and wheelchair users seeking training. Classes are offered day and night and on the weekends. The classes take three to four weeks to complete. Scholarships are available.

The first CDL Meet and Greet will be held on Thursday, March 20, from 5:30-7 p.m., at the Oneonta Technical Center located at 728 Second Ave. SE.

The next CDL Meet and Greet will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Workforce Training Center located at 1130 24th St. SW in Cullman.
