CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Senior Center will be hosting an introduction to frame loom Weaving class on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at noon.
Cullman Senior Center Manager Kristie Young said the event costs $40 per person and includes all supplies for the class.
“The event will be at the center,” Young said. “This is the first time we have offered this class. The instructor is Emily Wallace with Handwoven Designs. This class is offered to those 60 and over and space is limited. We do hope to make this a regular class.”
Young said she is looking forward to bringing more unique classes for active adults with the expansion of the center.
“In searching for new ideas, we looked at other larger centers’ activities and took ideas from there,” she said. “Ours may just be on a smaller scale for now. We have the sign-up link included on the post. The payments are accepted at the center.”
The Cullman Senior Center is located at 1539 Sportsman Lake Road NW. For more information, call 256-734-0145, or sign up for the class at https://tinyurl.com/frameloomweavingclass.
