CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City Council held its second November meeting at Cullman City Hall on Monday and approved a resolution to enter into an agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT). Resolution No. 2025-08 authorizes the City to enter into an agreement with ALDOT to maintain a service road on Grape Street Northwest and a median storm pipe on Alabama Highway 157.

Councilman Clint Hollingsworth was also happy to report that this year’s Cullman Christkindlmarkt is set to open Thursday night.

“Everybody has been working really hard across the street and Thursday night will be our first night to open up the Christkindlmarkt and we’ll have the German tree lighting that night,” Hollingsworth said. “Then Friday night will be our parade and Christmas tree lighting. James Spann, Taylor Hicks and everyone that was there last year should be coming back so it’ll be a fun-filled end of the week.”

The Cullman City Council will hold its next meeting at Cullman City Hall on Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m.
