Melissa Ruth Marchman, age 60, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Lisa Marchman was a much-loved matriarch – a devoted daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As an accomplished nurse, she exemplified a remarkable work ethic and unwavering commitment. Lisa possessed a beautiful, free-spirited nature and adored her family deeply. Her wonderfully twisted sense of humor shone through, complemented by a passion for country music, Auburn football, travel, the outdoors, and creative pursuits like art, crafts, and card games with loved ones. Cherished by many, Lisa lived life to the fullest, guided by her faith in Jesus and boundless zest for living. She was a true treasure, whose memory will be forever cherished.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Jeff Marchman; her daughter Amanda Prestine; her sister Pat Bullock; her brothers Mike & Tony Glover, her grandchildren Addy Spears, Rosie & Lance Prestine and her great grandchild Evaien Avila.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents John Wesley & Bernice Lynch Glover.
A celebration of life visitation for Melissa will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 3 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries. https://www.alabamachild.org/
