FL man dies following wreck in Cullman Co.; Troopers asking for info about other vehicle and driver

CULLMAN, Ala. – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:57 p.m. Friday, March 29, resulted in one fatality. Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick identified the victim as Brenton J. Weaver, 42, of Naples, Florida.

According to Alabama State Troopers, Weaver was critically injured when the 2014 Lexus CT 200h he was driving struck the rear of a dump truck. Weaver was transported to Cullman Regional for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Troopers said the dump truck left the scene of the crash, and its make, model and driver are currently unknown.

The crash occurred on Alabama  Highway 157 near State Crusher Road, approximately 10 miles north of Cullman, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
