County Commission ends emergency declaration

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Commission on Tuesday, Jan. 30, held an emergency called meeting to end the emergency declaration it set in place Jan. 15, during the region’s ice storm.

During the meeting, Cullman County Attorney Emily Niezer Johnston requested an executive session, closed to the public. The purpose of the executive session was to discuss pending or threatened litigation involving the County in a confidential environment, while staying on the record. No details were made public.

The next scheduled commission meeting will be Feb. 22 in the commission meeting room; the work session will begin at 4 p.m. with the meeting starting promptly at 6.
