TROY, Ala. – Troy Football is making history with its Birmingham Bowl appearance as the back-to-back Sun Belt Conference champions are the first Sun Belt program to play a Power Five opponent in a bowl game. Troy is set to square off against Duke on Saturday, Dec. 23, at Protective Stadium, and Troy Athletics unveiled Thursday numerous fan events for Troy’s trip to the Magic City.

“Our fans are extremely excited about this bowl game and this opportunity to make Sun Belt history,” Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. “We sold through our initial allotment of tickets and were able to secure additional seating so our amazing fans can share the experience in sections filled with other Trojan faithful. Our goal is to turn Birmingham Cardinal and White for the week, and we have some great events planned for our fans.”
