CULLMAN, Ala. – The annual Vinemont Band Booster Winter Craft Show is set for this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18 at Cullman Church of Christ.

Organizer Jamie Alexander said, “We have over 70 vendors this time. We have so many, they’ll be lining the hallways; they’re in all the rooms and main areas.”

The Boosters have hosted the craft show for more than 25 years, raising money for the band’s general expense fund through vendor fees, concession sales and donations. Although a high school band is a school-sponsored extracurricular activity and allocated a portion of the school’s funds, each band is responsible for raising extra funding to assist in the overage of expenses such as transportation, driver fees and new uniforms. If an instrument gets broken and needs to be  replaced, that cost is incurred by the band.

While the annual craft show is a beloved local event, it has needed a refresh in recent years, according to  Alexander, who said, “I’ve been able to reach out and bring in a lot of new vendors. A good bit of our vendors from last year are returning, too, so it will be a good mix of old and new.”

Vendors plan to bring loads of handmade items, including wreaths, clothing, dolls, soaps, perfumes and baked goods. There will also be personalized T-shirts and tumblers and more.

M&D Crafts will offer antler handle knives, tools and leather sheaths, along with other handmade outdoorsman tools. Kustom Wood Creations will have a plethora of exotic wooden gifts, and miniature cornhole sets and checkerboard stools are just two of the giftable items Turn-N-Time is planning to have on-hand.

Food trucks will be on-site, with the Street Kitchen serving patrons on Friday, Nov. 17, and Carnival Cravings serving on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Vinemont Band Booster Winter Craft show will be held at Cullman Church of Christ, located at 4345 Alabama Highway 157. The craft show will be open to the public Friday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
