Ms. Davenport passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2023 at The Folsom Center. She was born May 25, 1939 to Lunie W. Fowler and Dortha (Skinner) Fowler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert (Bob) Davenport; grandson, Sammie Basinger; brother and sister-in-law, Delbert (Melba) Fowler; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda Mae (Jerry) Smith, and Nancy (Tony) Wynn.

She is survived by sons; Charles (Janice) Sellers, Kenneth (Rhonda) Sellers, Darrell (Roxanne) Sellers; daughters, Pat (Mike) Floyd, Barbara Basinger, Darlene (Wally) Kirkpatrick; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Billy (Mary) Davenport; along with a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother and mamaw to all. Ms. Faye, as she was so lovingly called by all her little ones, worked in the church nursery at Christ Covenant for 20 plus years. She also worked at King Edward Cigar Plant as well as Cullman Products. Her most fun job was operating a boat business with her husband.

Faye was a member of Baldwin Heights Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress whose main profession was to recover upholstery. She was a charter member of the Heartland Quilt Guild where she took up the art of quilting and won numerous ribbons on her beautiful handiwork. Ms. Davenport was an excellent cook, and everyone always raved about her tasty chicken and dumplings and her delicious Red Velvet Cake. Although we know where she is and certainly don’t want her to come back for more pain and suffering, she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregiver Ladonna Cushman, and to the Folsom Center for her care.

Pallbearers include Chad Floyd, Todd Floyd, Josh Sellers, Daniel Sellers, Dylan Sellers, and Tyler Sellers
