Funeral Service for James W. Braswell, age 83, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 21, 2023 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Martin officiating; burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 21, 2023 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Braswell passed away on Monday, Sep. 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born, Aug. 21, 1940 to Orville and Esther Braswell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rodney Braswell; brother, Harold (Faye) Braswell; sister, Mary Marquardt; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Harlin) Aderhold; brother-in-law, Kenneth Helton.
Survivors include his wife, Lynelle Braswell; sons, Gary (Mary) Braswell, Jamie Braswell and Jeffrey (Alexandria) Braswell; grandchildren, Erica Braswell and Monica (Michael) Johnson; great grandchildren, Jaxon Braswell and Ronan Johnson; sisters, Joann Helton, and Janice (Kenneth) Murphree; brothers, Thomas Braswell and David (Michelle) Braswell; sister-in-law, Beverly Kreps; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and grandpets, Gwenevere, Maggie, Lucy, Rex, Boba, Obi and Zeb.
The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice, 7th Street Baptist Church and Miss. Kitty for all of their love, help and support during this time.
