Funeral service for Sybil Christina Williams, 83, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Cullman Funeral Home chapel with interment in Chances Crossroads Cemetery, Minister Terry Michael officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.

Mrs. Williams passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Hanceville Nursing Home and Rehab. She was born Dec. 23, 1939 to Aubrey and Agatha Murphy Persall and grew up on the farm in Jones Chapel. Sybil loved gardening, and was an excellent cook and baker. She was a retired school teacher after 25 years. She loved to sing and loved gospel singing. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Chances Crossroads.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James ‘Bud’ Williams; brother, Jimmy Persall; sister, Audrey Ward.
Survivors include her sons, Marshall (Laurie) Williams, Morris (Kathy) Williams; brothers, Carl (Jean) Persall of Athens, AL, David Persall of Texas; sister, Esther (Richard) Clapp; sister-in-law, Barbara (Hugh) Feagle of Mobile; grandchildren, Keith (Whitney) Williams, Kellie Williams, Kaitlyn Williams, Audra Williams, Missy Williams; great-grandchild, Bryson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
