Carolyn Evon Wilkins Hood, 75, of Cullman, formerly of Addison, entered into rest on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born on Sep. 2, 1947 in Cullman, Alabama to Edward Pierce and Flora Irene Robertson Wilkins. She was a member of Addison Church of God since 1965. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and working with her plants.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2pm at Addison Church of God, where she will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Pastor Rodney Ridgeway will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Wesley “Eddie” Hood and his wife Frances, Gary Dewayne Hood, and Jerry Dewight Hood; and brother, Vic Edward Wilkins and his wife Mary; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Hood Jr.; and her parents, Edward and Flora Wilkins.
