CULLMAN, Ala. – Keith Richards, owner of the new Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe in Cullman, announced a partnership with Cullman Caring for Kids at the restaurant’s grand opening and ribbon cutting on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Richards said that while Taziki’s has always practiced the love language of serving others through food, partnering with local nonprofits is a newer endeavor thanks to the growth and success the chain has enjoyed.

“We didn’t always have the wherewithal to give, but we always gave food,” Richards said, recalling food giveaways during COVID-19 shutdowns. “Since we’ve gotten bigger, we try to find a community partner to grow with, and they grow with us.”

With Cullman Caring for Kids being widely known for its food bank, which is currently serving over 800 families each month in the Cullman area, the decision to partner up was an easy one.

Cullman Caring for Kids Executive Director Steven Sutter expressed his gratitude, saying, “We serve all of Cullman County, and the need for food has went way up. It’s people like Taziki’s coming in to partner with us that makes our mission possible!”

Sutter also shared his hope that the partnership will be a permanent one. “We’re excited that Taziki’s has picked us to partner with, and we’re really hoping it’ll be a longstanding partnership!”
